The Clifton Brothers – are an acoustic duo from Raleigh, NC made up of brothers Colton and Kyle Clifton. From early childhood in Fayetteville, NC with Kyle on drums,(cardboard boxes), and Colton on dad's old acoustic guitar the brothers love for music was obvious. Like many artists, Colton and Kyle's first stage was in the church. The large congregation at Village Baptist Church was receptive and the passion for  live performance was born.  Over the years Colton honed his guitar skills, Kyle moved from drums to guitar and in 2011 began to play the banjo. His claw hammer style of playing and Colton's acoustic guitar blended perfectly and they knew they had found the sound that suited their musical tastes. They continued to sing and play together and developed the presence and rich vocal harmonies that folks enjoy today. With The Avett Brothers, John Prine, The Band, Dave Matthews, Old Crow Medicine Show, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty among their wide range of influences, a Clifton Brothers set list might include anything from an old gospel song to a Dave Matthews jammer with a few originals thrown in for good measure. Sometimes people don't know quite what to think when the  banjo, guitars and kick drum come out, but once the music starts they quickly “get it” and are hooked!
